* President Grace Martins conducted the meeting .
* Grace talked about the Progeria Race on September 8th. She asked for members to sign up to walk or to sponsor her. Anyone walking will meet at her office for a light breakfast at 8:00am.
* The International Festival is on September 9th. The club is trying something different to sell (prior years we have sold fruit cups). There will be a sign up sheet next meeting for helping the day of the festival.
* On September 11th we will meet at GraVoc Associates, 81 Main St for a "Brown bag lunch" and the lunch money will go towards EREY goal.
* Grace talked about the joint meeting with the Beverly club on August 30th. Fun was had by all who attended.
*Update on October 13th fundraiser. It will be at the K of C, tickets will be $30.pp and there will be meal and entertainment. Grace is asking every member to try to sell 10 tickets. There will be a guest speaker Donna Lee Rubin.
* On October 23rd Camille Bartlett from PAT co will be our guest speaker.
* Sometime in October Heidi from Swampscott club will come to talk about the Water project in February.
* There was a joint meeting with the YMCA/Rotary/Chamber / and Youth foundation to work on a health program to be hosted at the YMCA. Grace is looking into applying for Grant. More info will follow. Another meeting is being planned for end of September.
* There is a District meeting coming up in October. It will be in place of regular meeting ,everyone is encouraged to attend. The date will be announced soon.
.* Mel continues to collect bottle & cans, please see Mel if you have any questions.
* Mel had the Entertainment 2008 Books.
