Meeting notes
Today's visiting Rotarians: ADG Ingrid Brown, AG elect Helene Anderson Michel and District PR Alan Michel,
President Grace was not here today, nor was President -elect Steve Morad.
*
Past President Peg Pedro conducted the meeting.
*
Peg had all of the club Rotarians indrduce themselves and tell what they do for work. Our guest rotarians were introduced.
*
Alan Michel talked a little about his role as Public Relations. He encouraged the club to have a PR person to send photos and articles for District newsletter. Jeff said he would continue to collect photos and articles from club members. Alan talked about a public service with the local cable project that he will putting together. He would like input from all the clubs.
*
Peg congratulated both Grace and Tom for receiving their Paul Harris Fellow award. Peg also thanked Grace for her year as President and welcomed Steve to his upcoming year as President.
*
Steve Smith gave an update on our membership drive. Gayle reported that she has handed out many of the Rotary brochures that Steve had put together.
*
What do you do with your empty bottles and cans? (And we know there must be a lot of empty beer cans and bottles.) Please bring them (both beer and soda) to the meetings every week to give to Mel Babner. Every nickel helps!!
*
Our speaker scheduler, Gayle Cavanaugh, is asking that you tell her of any people who may want to speak to the club or whom you think may be of interest to the club.
*
Happy Dollars: Sergeant-at-arms Jeff Doherty collected $38.
Reminder: If you see any news articles or pictures of our members, bring them in so the member can donate $$$ to the club. We can use the money!! But more important--we'd like to recognize and applaud our members.
*
50-50 Raffle: The pool was $100. Neither Mel nor Joanne picked the Queen of Spades.
*
