August 3rd,2007,- Haven from Hunger Team Assignments: Arrive by NLT , by 4:15 P.M. would be great, at 71 Wallis St., Peabody.

If you are unable to attend on the specified date, it is your responsibility to locate a replacement. Please inform the meal pickup person (Chief Entree Officer) of the change and the replacement of your assigned responsibility. Thanks.  Look at NEWS and Haven Team Assignments for the future schedule. 

  * President Grace Martins conducted the meeting .

* Grace spoke again about the Progeria race on September 8th. She is looking for volunteers to walk or run as part of the Rotary team. Grace thought this would show much more of a presence than to just make our yearly donation. Please think about this is, it a good way to get some exercise and have some fun.

* Grace mentioned some thank yo's that the club received. Steve Morad thanked the club for the meals that were delivered to his home when Lori and the babies came home. Brain Tumor Foundation thank Rotary for donation. Several of the Scholarship Recipients sent their thanks.

* Grace had several announcements.

#1 Missionaries is looking for donation of Frequent Flyer miles

 #2 Rotary District 7930 is holding their annual Golf Tournament Friday September 14, at the Portsmouth Country Club.

 #3 On November 17th, 2007 the Rotary Leadership Institute is having all day workshop in Lewiston Maine.

#4 The Peabody Chamber Peter Torigian golf Tournament is September 10th.

#5 Harry Ankeles Nomination Form is out visit the Chamber web site. You can call Grace if you have any questions about any of these events.

* Grace also reminded people that this Thursday June 26th is the Peabody Chamber fundraiser at Brooksby farm, "Jimmy Buffet night" Tickets are on sale at the Chamber office $20. per person The event is 7-10PM. 2 Tickets are part of the 50/50 today.

* Mel continues to collect bottle & cans, please see Mel if you have any questions. 

* Mel announced that we are offering a free Entertainment 2007 Book when an Entertainment 2008 book is ordered. The 2007 book can be used for the 5 remaining months while the 2008 books will be available in September. Contact Mel.

Happy Dollars....Today Grave collected $48. The  pool is at $66.The new card is the King of Spades  Neither Mike Eidelman nor Steve Blomerth picked the right card. Mike won the 2 tickets to the Jimmy Buffet Chamber event.
