2004-2005 Centennial Community ProjectThe Peabody Rotary Club selected its major community project for 2004-2005 to be the renovation of the Children's Room at the Peabody Institute Library. The project, announced by Peabody Rotary Club President Fred deNapoli, was completed by February 23, 2005, when Rotary International celebrated its Centennial Anniversary.
Club Officers and members of the Peabody Rotary Club were at the library in October to tour the Children's Room. Peabody Institute Library Director, Martha Holden, Children's Room Librarian Kelley Unger, and Assistant Children's Room Librarian Maryanne Sirois were there to explain to members how the room will be improved to provide a modern library area for the children of Peabody. Pleased to have their pictures taken as part of the kick off tour are Peabody Rotary Club President, Fred deNapoli, Peabody Institute Library Director, Martha Holden, and Children's Room Librarian, Kelley Unger, above.
The Children's Librarian, Kelley Unger, and the Assistant Children's Librarian, Maryanne Sirois, were there at the desk to great Rotarians as they arrived on October 12, 2004 when the Peabody Rotary Club started their regular weekly meeting with a tour of the Children's Library Room.
